Louise grew up in Northeast Portland and attended Grant High school (Go Generals!) during her high school career Louise was a varsity member of the track team all four years and competed in the pole vault. After High school Louise received her bachelors degree from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!). While Louise was at the University of Oregon she worked at the University Recreation Center as a personal trainer and group fitness Instructor. Being active in life and fitness has always been a highlight of Louise's life and becoming a fitness instructor seemed like the right way to give back and stay involved. Louise has taught many types of fitness including yoga, aqua fitness, strength, spin, and functional training. Louise discovered IBarre from her friend Anna Hicks (another IBarre instructor) For Louise, IBarre was a breath of fresh air.
After being an avid athlete in the way of strength and HIIT training her body was very thankful to find this much needed route of lengthening and toning. Some of Louise's interests outside of fitness are finding fun spots to take her dog, Oakley to play outside. When weather permits they like to take their paddle board out and enjoy the water (ask Louise about some of her favorite paddle board spots around the city). Another favorite is coffee dates with friends! Louise loves new spots to take her pup as well as fun coffee date spots so if you have any suggestions tell her next time you are in one of her classes!
